Born August 1998, 11:36am at National Women's Hospital, forceps delivery, weighing 3.6 kg. His first name is his great great grandmother's maiden name. His middle names are that of two of his great grandfathers, sadly one of them passed away 4 months after his birth.

In March 2000 we started Playcentre at our local branch of Blockhouse Bay.

In November 2000 Logan was diagnosed with very mild cerebral palsy, which came as quite a shock, we knew something wasn't quite right as he was unable to jump or run - however because we got the dignosis quite late we took a while to come to terms with it. Since May 2001 we have been been attending our local Conductive Education centre at Focus 2000 in Sandrigham, three times a week. I cannot say enough about this style of treatment. Nothing was available through the Health System due to the mildness of his condition. Here the children are taught how to be as self-suffient as they can be. Very friendly staff help make everything that much easier. Totally recommend it! If you child as a motor disorder they're well worth a visit ~ no referal required.

At fours years of age Logan can jump, well almost - and although he can't keep up with his peers, he certainly runs with great gusto! As cheeky as hell and wants to know all the "whys" like any other kid his age. Totally dotes on his little sister.

He started school at Onewhero Area School was there for almost two years, he spent about a month at Mangatawhiri Primary and is now at Te Kauwhata Primary, he won this year's Speech Competition for Year 3 and is doing well in all subjects.

Born November 2001, 9:00pm at Waitakere Hospital, natural delivery, weighing 2.69 kgs. We just liked the name Samantha, although there are a couple of Samuel's in her line of descent. Her middle name is the same as her Aunt's. Margaret is after her father's cousin.

The mad character in our household, bouncy (she's broken the spring in her jolly jumper!), happy (gets hysterical with Logan), small (but good things come in small packages!!). She's been attending Playcentre since she was 1 week old and loves it - especially the sandpit.

Just shy of turning 2, she's keeping us on our toes and has reinforced our decision not to have any more - too much work, though loads of fun!!

Samantha started at Pukekawa Playcentre in 2003, when we moved out to Onewhero. Sam and I had a car accident in November 2004 on the way home from Playcentre, after which she didn't want to return, so she spent almost a year at Onewhero Early Childhood Centre and has just finished off her pre-school education at Te Kauwhata Playcentre.

Now she's a big school girl and knows it all!
