This second chart is a 'Solar Maps'(c) world chart for the time & place of the total Solar Eclipse which was on the Equator near Indonesia, shown by the curved red line.The dark shaded area shows night while the central horizontal wavey yellow line shows the 'Ecliptic'(E) which is the Suns path through our Sky, also followed by the Planets shown by their glyphs on the Ecliptic.The vertical lines extending from the Planet glyphs are the 'M.C' lines which show a Planet is directly overhead for that location,while the remaining 'Sine Curve' yellow lines show the boundries for the Zodiac constellations.To the trained eye much data can be obtained for evaluating the event, particually in casting Astrology charts for people born in particular locations at that time.This chart shows the major alignment of 7 Planets(we usually talk of theSun & Moon as Planets for ease) in Aquarius over the Pacific near Fiji and throwing the Eclipse shaddow along the red line. As the Earth moves(anti-clock/left to right) below the Planets every location has its moment of focus, the most obvious being the 'Terminator' which is the line between Night & Day,at this point the Sun is on the Horizon called the 'Ascendant' or 'Rising Sign'. Also shown are the north & south Ecliptic Poles(the Electro-Magnetic poles),which constantly change with the Seasons, where the yellow Constellation boundries meet near the Earths geographic poles.The Planets are so closely grouped most of the glyphs are hidden below each other,and a point of note is that NZ is right there in the middle of it .This area of Astrology is called Astro-Cartogrophy and is usually used to aid people with there travel plans, as they wiil pick up different energies in relation to their Natal Solar Map,as they relocate to foriegn countries,which if known about can be taken into account - " forewarned is forearmed ".
